It takes 10,000 hours to gain mastery of a subject, however what if I told you that just 20 minutes a day could transform your life? It may sound too good to be true, but dedicating a focused 20 minutes daily towards a chosen goal can lead to 120 hours of training in a year. 

It does fall short of the 10,000 hours, however 120 hours is still significant. Progress is often parabolic, initial gains come quickly and put you ahead of your peers. Even if you haven’t reached full mastery, you’ll surpass those who haven’t dedicated the same focused effort.

This is your driving force for doing this, what do you want to get out of spending 20 minutes a day? How will this impact you at the end of the year? How will this benefit you in 5 years

like a well though-out toolbox, you have everything you need at your fingertips and makes sense for your specific needs. Whether it’s books, tools, or materials, ensure they are ready to use. This allows you to jump straight into work without wasting time setting up.

Prioritise High-Impact/ Fundamental Tasks

Identify tasks that will have the greatest impact on your goals. Focus on these during your 20-minute sessions to maximise the effectiveness of your efforts.

Output-Focused

focusing on tangible results, rather than simply time spent. Build a portfolio that showcases your work and progress over time. This not only allows you to reflect on your growth but also provides a visual reminder of how your consistent efforts are paying off.

Distraction Blackout

This isn't about being anti-tech but about minimising interruptions and removing things that demand your attention.Turn off notifications and anything that could distract you. Disable notifications on your phone and computer. Focus is fragile, and a single buzz can break your concentration.
